My Review of Three Different Types of Deep Conditioners + Hair Masks

I would say my hair type is between 2b-3a and I say that because on some days my hair is all curls while others it's curls, waves, and some straight pieces. I also have thin hair. This is good to note while I review these three different types of deep conditioners + hair masks so you can compare your hair type to mine.

I came across tgin Honey Miracle Hair Mask at Sally Beauty while shopping for hair products and decided to give it a try. It's more on the expensive side, costing $17.49 for 12 oz but my thought process was, if it's expensive then it must be good... I was right. I really enjoy this hair mask. It makes my hair feel incredibly soft afterwards. The cream itself is smooth, not chunky, and it smells great since it's more on the fragrancy side. It's a great leave-in to give your hair moisture. I definitely recommend trying it. My friend has type 3c-4a hair and she loves it too. I see myself keeping to this hair mask for moisture

This Shea Moisture Hydrate + Repair Protein Power Treatment is tough to rate. I don't hate it but I also don't love it. The cream itself is not the smoothest. It's a bit chunky and not too soft but the smell is good and not too fragrancy. I feel like it might be more beneficial for women with type 3-4 hair but also, not sure??? I say that because it feels heavy for my hair. This one is more on the cheaper side, you can get it at Target for $9.99 for 8 oz. I currently use this alongside tgin, since this one provides hair with protein rather than focusing on moisture and our hair needs both, chile! I think I will try a different protein-focused deep conditioner after I finish this one

Now I heard a lot of great things about this Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque but let me tell you, I hated it. It was way too thick and heavy for my hair. It did not seep through my wet hair at all, it just kind of stayed on my strands. The smell is less fragrant than the Shea Moisture Hydrate + Repair Treatment. Unlike the others, I will not be buying this one again. For those still wanting to try it, it is cheaper than tgin. You can get 12 oz for $13.49 at Ulta
