Puff Daddy collaborated with the rest of The Family and created a dope album in 2015 titled MMM (Money Making Mitch). Today Puffy dropped a video to the album’s track “You Could Be My Lover,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Bad Boy Record member Gizzle.
The video opens up with scenes of Diddy living life carefree af while he chills in his luxurious robe and frolics on his green lawn. Then it transitions to the three artists surrounded by beautiful women in a glass mansion, and sitting pretty poolside. Towards the end, Dolla $ign really shows off his incredible vocals as he sings, “Told her you can’t be my girl. But you can be my lover. Girl, I can be your nigga. But I can’t be your man.” Okay, Ty.
And P. Diddy takes it back to ’94 as he styles a Bad Boy jersey, very similar to the one the late Notorious B.I.G. wore back in his “Juicy” video. Now how’s that for a #ThrowbackThursday.
The “You Could Be My Lover” video comes the day after Diddy announced his Bad Boy Family reunion concert, which will take place at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on May 20. The special performance is planned to have guest appearances from Lil’ Kim, French Montana, Faith Evans, Ma$e, amongst others.
