It appears Jada Pinkett-Smith is keeping it moving after Chris Rock's 2016
Oscars monologue, which took a jab at the actress and hubby Will Smith.
“It comes with the territory, sweetheart,” Pinkett-Smith told X17 as she
walked through Los Angeles International Airport Saturday. “Hey look, it
comes with the territory but we gotta keep it moving… There’s a lot of
stuff we gotta handle, a lot of stuff in our world right now. We gotta keep
it moving.”
The 44-year-old actress was one of the first celebrities to speak out in
regards to the lack of diversity in the year’s Oscar nominations. And being
that he is comedian Chris Rock, Rock took advantage as Oscars' host to
share his thoughts on Pinkett-Smith’s decision to boycott the award show.
“Jada’s gonna boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me
boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited!”
During his speech Rock also went on to poke fun at Will Smith. “I
understand Jada’s mad… I get it. You get mad. It’s not fair that Will was
this good and didn’t get nominated. You’re right. It’s also not fair that Will
was paid $20 million for Wild Wild West!”
There is still no word if Will Smith is keeping it moving also, but his first
appearance after the Oscars was all smiles and friendly peace signs as he
was leaving the set of his new film, Collateral Beauty.
Looks like neither actor is losing any sleep over this.
